Director producer screenwriter and Northbrook native John Hughes was a voice for teenagers in the 80s and 90s. He is responsible for such classics as The Breakfast Club Ferris Bueller's Day Off Uncle Buck Christmas Vacation and of course Home Alone (all of which were filmed in the Chicago area).
